Studies of high-frequency seismic noise (HFSN) have been carried out in Kamchatka since 1987. A 2 month test recording was conducted in 1988. Based on its results, we suggested a hypothesis on the relationship between heating of the ground surface and HFSN level, which required additional investigations. This was realized using the data of a continuous recording conducted in April-October 1989.
