A method is presented for designing circularly symmetric irradiance redistribution optics with arbitrary output obscuration ratios. A method has been also developed for analyzing the alignment sensitivity of such systems. It is shown that useful irradiance redistributions can be achieved with systems whose alignment sensitivities are no greater than that of a comparable two-parabola Cassegrain telescope.
