The method of layer addition, appropriately modified for multilayered media, is presented. Numerical results from calculations carried out for a two-layered atmosphere are presented. These, it is noted, may prove useful in the analysis of planetary observations. It is pointed out that even though a two-layer computation is used as an example, the algorithm and program can be used on an atmosphere composed of any number of layers of arbitrary optical depth.
