Earth Atmosphere: Refraction, Earth Atmosphere: Methods Of Reduction
Scientific paper
The author considers a general way for allowing for the vertical component of anomalous refraction when observations are reduced by the method of equal altitudes. He deals with that part of the anomalous refraction component which is due to the equal-density layers in the atmosphere tilted with respect to the gravity level surface. The level surface of an atmospheric layer in a local atmospheric region with a constant refractive index is specified by a function of rectangular coordinates for a given observational site.
