A procedure for reconstructing turbulence-degraded images using complex ratios of adjacent spatial-frequency components is described. The derivation of the procedure is compared with a derivation proposed by Knox (1976) for a method which also determines the amplitude and phase of the spatial-frequency spectrum from a large number of short-exposure photographs.
