The Cubesat (1U) called XaTcobeo has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) to be flown during the debut of Europe's new Vega launch vehicle, expected in 2009. XaTcobeo Cubesat includes a novel communication system called SRAD "Software RADio for communications SRAD". This communication board includes the concept of software radio that can be considered a revolution in radio design due to its ability to create radios that change in flight, creating new options for users.
