Preliminary data of the electromagnetic wave field received onboard GEOS-1 (June 11, 1977) while crossing the field lines of the Jim Creek (Alaska) VLF transmitter are analyzed. The autocorrelogram points of each wave component (three electric and three magnetic) were Fourier transformed on a computer. The field intensity of the transmitter frequency was found to increase well above the sensitivity threshold of the instrument, over distances corresponding to 1000 km at the ground level possibly due to an encounter with field aligned ducts. Further, no triggered emissions were observed below or above the transmitter frequency.
