Dwarf Novae, Outbursts

Scientific paper

The fourth outburst of the dwarf nova WZ Sagittae occurred on July 23, 2001. Observing campaign to monitor the star were immediately established by the Variable Star Section of UAI. Visual and photoelectric observations have been reduced for preliminary analysis and for comparing the actual outburst to, particularly, the previous one in 1978. The visual light curve seems to confirm the very quick 2 magnitude drop, 1 month after the initial outburst. Even if the period covered by observations is limited, the light curve based on CCD photometry show the presence of "superhumps".
