Abstract

The Sundial Section of the UAI has compiled the first catalog of 12643 sundials in 3109 municipalities of Italy. Sundials are instruments that measure the passage of time through the movements of the Sun and the shadows it casts. The volume comprises four chapters with introductoring sections regarding how to approach a reading of volume and an appendix containing additional documentary material.
