On the basis of data of the SNEG-2MZ Soviet-French experiment on the Venera 11 and 12 spacecraft it is established that the continuum of cosmic gamma-ray bursts varies over a characteristic time of less than about 250 msec, the annihilation radiation being generated in strong short pulses. The spectral data obtained permit important conclusions about the nature of the sources of gamma-ray bursts.
