The available experimental data on short-lived radionuclides are analyzed in order to estimate the possibility of the contribution of the last bursts of nucleosynthesis to the formation of the short-lived nuclei. It is shown that the presence of the short-lived nuclides Pu-244, I-129, Pd-107, and Sm-146 in the early solar system indicates the possibility of a burst of nucleosynthesis prior to the formation of the solar system; however, its contribution to the element synthesis is not likely to exceed 0.4 percent.
