Results are reported for a radio survey of a large sample of peculiar galaxies that was conducted at 1400, 2700, and 5000 MHz in order to determine whether any morphological subclasses of peculiar galaxies possess unusual radio properties. The sample consisted of over 100 objects from Arp's (1966) Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies with declinations above -18 deg. The observations suggest that there are two classes of single galaxies in the Arp Atlas, one consisting of galaxies with optical peculiarities unrelated to their radio emission and the other consisting of galaxies that are abnormally radio-luminous. Significant differences are found between the radio properties of most single galaxies and multiple systems, with detection-percentage and luminosity excesses found among the multiple galaxies. Also, the multiple systems possess a mean spectral index which is steeper than that for most high-luminosity singles. The predominance of steep radio spectra among the multiple systems is taken to indicate that the enhanced radiation originates mainly in extended (disklike) components.
