This paper presents data on radio-brightness distribution at the sun's poles, obtained from the TNA-1500 radio telescope at wavelengths of 5.2 and 8.1 cm. Results show that the effective dimensions of the sun in the meridional direction decrease with increasing wavelength (as opposed to the equatorial direction, where the sun dimensions are linearly related to the wavelength). The relative increase in the antenna brightness temperature at the solar limb was found to change with time, not exceeding 5 percent for both wavelengths. A three-component model of solar atmosphere was used to interpret the results of the observations.
