A double vertical interferometry method was used to measure the height characteristics of auroral backscattering above the Kol'skii peninsula during 1979. Attention is given to differences in radio-aurora height characteristics in the eastern and western regions of electrojets, the correlation of the heights of auroral irregularities and of the auroral Esr layer, and the vertically stratified structure of auroral scattering.
