Oscillator Strengths, Radiative Lifetime, Rhenium, Abundance, Atomic Beams, Chondrites, Sun, Transition Probabilities
Scientific paper
Radiative lifetimes of nine levels of neutral rhenium are reported with
an accuracy of + or - 5%. Improved oscillator strengths derived from the
lifetimes bring the spectroscopically determined upper limit for the
solar abundance of Re closer to the abundance of Re in chondritic
meteorites.
