Beams of O(15) at 30 MeV and Li8 (at 22 MeV) were generated for cross section measurements of proton and alpha-particle capture reactions on unstable species that are important in hot stellar environments. Studies began aimed toward measuring the H1 Be7, B8(GAMMA) cross section. As part of the development work, an attempt was made attempted to remeasure the H2 Be7, B8 cross section with a different technique that pointed out the importance of background Li8. The H2, Li7, Li8, H1 cross section was found to be 155 + - 20 mb at 12.2 + - 1.3 MeV.
