A theoretical investigation of the radiative destruction of porous meteoroids has been made by means of numerical techniques based on solving the equations of nonstationary heat and mass transfer with consideration for the main physicochemical processes and the related energy sources and sinks. The basic governing laws of the radiative destruction of porous bodies are established both for the quasi-steady stage of the process and for the nonstationary destruction upon short duration irradiation. For the conditions of radiative destruction of meteoroids, the ablation parameter Λ is shown to be greater for the porous meteoroids than for the massive ones.
