An electrostatic undulator based on a dusty plasma crystal with a period
of ~10 μm is proposed. The linear chain of dust grains is taken as an
undulator model. The main mechanisms of radiation are discussed and
analytic expressions for the radiation field are shown. The possible
application in astrophysics is discussed.
