Investigation of the radiation of electromagnetic waves from plasma waveguides consisting of sealed gas discharge tubes with arc discharge burning in mercury vapors at pressures of the order of 0.01 to 0.1 mm Hg. Surface plasma-waveguide waves of axially symmetric type were excited in the plasma column from an external 2350-MHz oscillator. The radiation pattern from a straight plasma waveguide was axially symmetric with respect to the tube axis and had the form of several cosines of revolution embedded into each other. Radiation efficiency was about 1%. A radiation efficiency of 10 to 20% was obtained with a bent plasma waveguide.
