Transverse waves at the fundamental F and second-harmonic whistler sidebands of omega sub p can be excited by means of a nonlinear electron current generated by whistler solitons interacting with Langmuir waves. It is noted that the intensity of the emission is higher than in the weak-turbulence three-wave interaction regime. Radiation at F is found to dominate. For the case of oblique propagation angles, it is in the extraordinary as well as in the ordinary mode.
