Einstein's field equations for a radiating zone enveloping a rotating axisymmetric collapsing source are solved under the simplifying assumption that the energy distribution in the radiating zone is axisymmetric at all times. The geometrical-optics form of the stress-energy tensor is adopted for the radiating zone, and the Landau-Lifshitz complex is used to obtain conserved total energy and momentum. The results show that the metric representing the gravitational field of a radiating zone around a rotating axisymmetric collapsing source has a singularity along the axis of rotation.
