It is shown that the radiant method of artificial-aurora rays can be used to determine the orientation of force lines of a local region of the geomagnetic field. This is confirmed by an examination of TV observations carried out in the Zarnitsa-1 (1973) and Zarnitsa-2 (1975) electron-beam-injection experiments. According to the position of the radiant, it is possible to evaluate the direction of the force lines, the agreement between measured and model parameters of the field, and the magnitude of field-aligned currents.
