An attempt is made to report the derivation of radial velocities for the helium variable Sigma Ori E from 15 spectrograms with the use of correlation functions. The spectral lines examined include H-beta, H-gamma, H-delta, H8, H9, and 11 lines due to He I. The resulting radial velocities are shown to be accurate to better than + or - 1 km/s and to remain constant within + or - 2 km/s except for the phases immediately before and after the two 'eclipses'. The radial velocities of additional Balmer absorption lines are analyzed in order to locate the source of these variations and several binary models for the system are considered.
