A model of proton drift from the injection boundary is used to analyze the displacement of a source of decreasing-period pulsations and the dependence of the frequency characteristics of the pulsations on local time, magnetic-activity level, and particle energy. The degree of agreement between this model and radial-displacement measurements according to riometer-absorption bays is evaluated. It is concluded that the riometer-absorption measurements make it possible to determine the location, size, and dynamics of the source on the basis of only a single longitudinal chain of observatories.
