An overview of the radial diffusion of equatorially mirroring particles
of solar wind origin in the Jovian inner magnetosphere is presented. The
Pioneer 10 and 11 data on plasma and magnetic field parameters of
Jupiter are used to derive the phase-space density profile of the inner
belt (L in the range of 1 to 5).
