This report summarizes the results of parallel assessment studies of the Quasat mission concept carried out by NASA and ESA in early 1984. The fundamental requirement on the Quasat mission is to provide an earth orbiting radio telescope, which serves as an extension of the ground based VLBI antenna arrays, and thereby provides images of total intensity and polarized emission of radio source of higher resolution and quality than those obtainable with the ground arrays only.
