With reference to the example of the homogeneous Bianchi-IX model filled
with scalar field, it is shown that the birth of the universe occurs
during quantum evolution from the vacuum state. The spectral density of
the number of universes has a Planck form in the low energy density
limit of the scalar field, epsilon tending to zero.
