While MHD turbulence has been studied for more than thirty years, it is a subject of ongoing research with important applications in coronal, interplanetary and astrophysics. Frequently MHD turbulence occurs with finite cross helicity, is anisotropic, and occurs in the presence of shear. These factors influence features of turbulence sometimes regarded as "universal." Here we review some important features of MHD turbulence are reviewed, emphasizing current knowledge and outstanding problems that can be studied with an incompressible homogeneous model. Topics to be covered include: (1) Phenomenological models for decay - the Dobrowolny et al (1980) model, and its relatives; (2) the necessity of two length scales in the von Karman picture of self preservation when cross helicity is present; (3) the influence of large scale shear on the steady third order laws [2], and its possible implications for applicability in space physics; (4) Alfvenicity as sense of propagation: what k-omega studies [3] tell us about dispersion relations. Finally, some further remarks on universality in anisotropic MHD turbulence will be given. [1] Dobrowolny, A, Mangeney and P. Veltri, PRL, 45, 144,(1980) [2] M. Wan, S. Servidio, S. Oughton and W. H.
