Chances for the existence and detection of interstellar cyanovinylidene, CC(H)CN, the branched isomer of cyanoacetylene, are discussed based on the results of quantum-chemical calculations. Ab-initio (coupled cluster) and density functional theory predictions for CC(H)CN structure, electric dipole moment, rotational spectroscopy, and vibrational frequencies are given.
