The spherically symmetric model of plasma motion proposed is based on the hypothesis that the flare energy is released within a finite interval of time into the plasma propagating radially away from the sun into the interplanetary plasma. The propagation of shock waves through the quiet solar wind is described by a system of equations of single-fluid hydrodynamics for an inviscid nonheat-conducting fully ionized hydrogen gas. The assumption that the flow is spherically symmetric with respect to the center of the sun implies that all the gasdynamic parameters are functions only of the heliocentric radius and time. The equations take into account the forces associated with the pressure gradient and solar gravitation. The model is used to study the processes occurring beyond the center of the flare.
