The propagation of slow symmetric trapped waves of small amplitude in a cylindrical magnetic tube is investigated analytically using the nonlinear equation proposed by Molotovshchikov and Ruderman (1986, 1987). The reversal of periodic perturbations of a certain kind within a finite period of time is demonstrated numerically. It is noted that the above equation has no soliton-type solutions.
