We discuss the propagation of neutrinos in hot and dense media in the presence of a strong magnetic field in the background. The properties of neutrinos have also been studied in such a background. Moreover, we incorporate the thermodynamics of the particles in the medium to investigate the possible consequences of these changes on the stellar collapse and the supernova explosion
