The development of a processing system operating on line with the Venera 13 and 14 descent modules has made possible the operational processing of data from the whole array of scientific instruments on the two probes. In addition, this system has made possible the representation of processing results in a form convenient for analysis immediately in the process of a telemetry session. This has further made possible a real-time evaluation of the operation of the instruments and an assessment of the experimental results. The present results point to the efficiency of using a rapid analysis system for the operational processing of scientific data from interplanetary probes. A block diagram of the processing system is presented.
