Laboratory measurements of the momentum and peak-pressure fields in a shock wave generated by a rapidly moving dust cloud are examined. Model experiments indicate the possibility of the generation of a centrosymmetric shock wave in the translational motion of a dust cloud in the atmosphere. The application of this model to the Tungusk meteorite problem is discussed.
