We report measurements of the recoil proton polarizations, differential cross sections, and extracted response functions for p( e,e^' p ) π^0. These measurements were centered at the peak of the Δ(1232) resonance (cms energy of W = 1232 MeV) and at a four-momentum transfer squared of 1.0 GeV^2 / c^2. For the first time, a complete angular distribution was obtained for these recoil polarizations, with measurements centered in the electron-scattering reaction plane and spanning both the forward (φ = 0^o) and backward (φ = 180^o) sides of the momentum-transfer vector q. Although centered in-plane, the kinematic focussing of the recoil protons allows nearly total azimuthal-angle coverage up to about 50^o in the cms angle between the recoil proton and q. Therefore, several response functions -- beyond the six that are accessable in-plane -- will be extracted, ultimately allowing a simultaneous fit to the angular distributions of all extracted responses to provide corresponding individual multipole amplitudes for the reaction. Preliminary results for the polarizations and responses will be shown and compared to expectations based on multipoles determined from models or phase-shift analyses.
