Presented is an analysis of measurements from the electron electrostatic analyzer on the Freja satellite. The observed fluxes exhibit signatures characteristic of the electron microburst phenomenon, from the rarely-observed low end of the energy spectrum of such events. The analyses reported here allow determination of source position in three dimensions and provide information on the electron spectra. A statistical approach is used to characterize the microburst source region in three spatial dimensions. It is shown that the microburst source region appears on the dawnside at equatorial source latitudes.
