An experiment was conducted to measure the illumination on the planet Venus on board the landing modules (LM) of the Venera-9 and Venera-10 automatic space stations which made soft landings on the Venus surface on October 22 and 25, 1975. Preliminary results of the measurements taken during the entire descent in the atmosphere and on the surface of Venus are presented.
