We present preliminary results on the spectra of CNO nuclei in the cosmic radiation as measured in a 16-day first flight of ATIC in December, 2000 from McMurdo,Antarctica. ATIC is a multiple, long duration balloon flight, investigation to study the cosmic ray spectra from 50 GeV to 100 TeV, using a fully active BGO calorimeter. It is composed of a large area mosaic of small fully depleted silicon detectors for charge id. Three projective layers of x-y scintillator hodoscopes located above, in the center and below a Carbon interaction target provide further charge id and tracking.
