The instrumentation aboard the Venera 9 and 10 spacecraft used to measure the radiant flux in the atmosphere and on the surface of Venus is described, and results of measurements carried out at solar zenith angles of 33 and 27 deg are reported. The general character of the altitude variation, from 63 km to the surface, of the radiant flux in five spectral regions, covering the range from 0.50-1.06 microns, and in three directions in space was obtained. Values of the attenuation of spectral and integrated fluxes of solar radiation with altitude were calculated.
