An attempt is made to employ broadband two-color photometry for deriving
the redshifts and morphological types of galaxies. It is shown that the
proposed method makes it possible to isolate the bright ellipticals from
other galaxies and predict the redshifts to within an rms value of 0.03
given accurate photometry.
