A four-year development program is currently underway at ESOC to support those future ESA near-earth missions that have stringent orbit-accuracy requirements. The activity is centered around an ESOC-developed software system for orbit determination and error analysis which contains state-of-the-art models for a wide range of orbital perturbations and measurement types. It permits estimation and error analysis of geophysical and geodetic parameters in addition to the orbital states of the satellites.
