Using data from a set of one month of simulated gradiometric observations, it is shown that gradiometric data can be used to recover spherical harmonic potential coefficients up to a high degree and order. Based on grids computed from the simulated gradients, several solutions were derived; it is shown that the recovery of a set of spherical harmonic coefficients up to degree and order 180 from gradiometric observations is possible.
