Scientific paper

Diurnal, seasonal, and latitudinal dependences of electron/neutral
collision rate in the D region are investigated on the basis of
midlatitude measurements near Kharkov and Vologorad and high-latitude
measurements near Murmansk. It is shown that the seasonal variations of
this collision rate amount to 50-100 percent.
