A method is proposed for determining the error in calculating the nontidal-fluctuation curve delta-P for the change in the length of day during 1664-1974. It is shown that delta-P curves with T of approximately 70 and 22 years arose simultaneously after the middle of the 19th century. It is suggested that delta-P(70) and delta-P(22) are determined by different types of effects of solar activity on the earth's liquid core.
