The focus of the global Sq current system, generally located at a latitude of approximately 25 degrees N, experiences small latitudinal displacements toward the pole (to approximately 30 degrees N) from the winter to the summer period. In the present paper, it is shown that pronounced changes in the coordinates of the focus of the Sq system in the same longitudinal zone are not caused by the variability of the physical parameters of the regular Sq system (which gives rise to regular Sq variations) but rather by superposition of the system's field on the irregular portion of the Sq system.
