Calculations of the population of molecular vibrational states performed by Shved at al. (1978, 1985) are used to investigate the possibility of the population inversion of vibrational-rotational states whose transitions belong to the CO2 and O3 bands near 10 microns in the middle atmosphere. The possible practical application of this natural population inversion is considered.
