A possibility is considered of restoration of weak extra-atmospheric object images obtained by a ground-based telescope and distorted under the effect of the earth atmosphere. It is shown that at such values of luminous flux from the object, when only several photons arrive, for the period of time equal to the correlation radius of atmospheric inhomogeneities, restoration of the image up to the diffraction limit of resolution is possible by the method of signal accumulation.
