Electron acceleration in the boundary layers of the earth magnetosphere is examined by using the transport equation for charged particles in MHD shear plasma flows. The analysis allows for the real topology of the magnetic field and plasma flow characteristics in these layers at different magnetic latitudes. Energies in the low-latitude boundary layer and in the mantle are estimated for quiet and disturbed periods.
