As groups of stars at known distances without intrinsic polarization, open clusters are expected to serve as excellent probes of the 3D distribution of the Galactic magnetic field. The Galactic Plane Infrared Polarization Survey (GPIPS) has obtained H-band (1.6 microns) linear polarimetic observations of over 60 known open clusters in the survey region. We present analysis of the polarization from a selection of these open clusters and compare our findings qualitatively to previous polarimetric results of outer galaxy open clusters.
