Giant H II regions are small-scale starbursts. The nearest two giant H II regions, 30 Dor and NGC 604, have similar H II region structures but very different stellar content. We extend our systematic study of giant of giant H II regions to M101. We have awarded HST WFPC2 images of NGC 5461, NGC 5462, and NGC 5471 to study the H II region morphology and stellar content. We request high-dispersion echelle observations to map the kinematic and density structure of these giant H II regions in order to disentangle the complex physical structure revealed in the HST and X-ray images.
